Oil Field Clean-up

As occurred with other well established Fullerton communities built on former oil fields around West Coyote Hills and East Coyote Hills, the West Coyote property would undergo an extensive restoration process following goals and guidelines established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and overseen and approved by the Orange County Health Care Agency. When completed, the remediated land would meet county and state standards for residential development. No residential structures would be located over an abandoned oil well, and government agencies would certify compliance with cleanup requirements before homes could be occupied.
